We started noWax on a whim back in 2003. It took off quite sharply and took us a little by surprise.

People all over the place started wanting to put on their own one, so we let them.

All the other hosts called it noWax and we put their nights on the one website and did mail-outs announcing the next parties.

We started writing about digital music in a weekly newsletter which got up to a subscription level of 2,500

If you are Creative Labs and you make products to rival Apple’s and then you make an iPod compatible product, isn’t this admitting defeat?

This is one of those new “iPod compatible�? sticker products that Apple has allowed to happen as long as they get 10% of sales. Creative must feel like they are being seriously being taken advantage of.

At least the idea of interoperability is beginning to take hold and now you’ll be able to buy a speaker system that will work with more than one docking device. I’m willing to put money on the fact that Apple products will never do this though.
