Here we go again at noWax

History

We started noWax on a whim back in 2003. It took off quite sharply and took us a little by surprise.

People all over the place started wanting to put on their own one, so we let them.

All the other hosts called it noWax and we put their nights on the one website and did mail-outs announcing the next parties.

We started writing about digital music in a weekly newsletter which got up to a subscription level of 2,500

Here’s an article that poses the question of copyrighted music in Second Life and whether the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) will be interested in cracking down on it. It’s a bit vague and not very well researched which in turn has created lots of confusing debate in the comments section. But I suppose that sums up the whole music/web/rights/infringement/ subject. Bloody confusing.
