We started noWax on a whim back in 2003. It took off quite sharply and took us a little by surprise.

People all over the place started wanting to put on their own one, so we let them.

All the other hosts called it noWax and we put their nights on the one website and did mail-outs announcing the next parties.

We started writing about digital music in a weekly newsletter which got up to a subscription level of 2,500

Japanese gadget Right then, here is some more craziness from Japan. It’s essentially a Tamagotchi for your iPod. This little ‘Otoizm’ connects to your iPod and reacts according to what you play. It will even find similar users in the vicinity by wirelessly locating other Otoizms. It’s becoming quite the dating tool in Japan where gadgets like Lovegety are very big business and is used by tens of thousands of kids. Golly.
