History

We started noWax on a whim back in 2003. It took off quite sharply and took us a little by surprise.

People all over the place started wanting to put on their own one, so we let them.

All the other hosts called it noWax and we put their nights on the one website and did mail-outs announcing the next parties.

We started writing about digital music in a weekly newsletter which got up to a subscription level of 2,500

ilike We’ve been using iLike for a while now and it seems to work pretty nicely. Ticketmaster think so too and have just invested $13.3 million into the company. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that it’s going to connect gig information into your chosen list of artists. This could be a really nice extra service. Perhaps ‘friends’ that don’t know each other on the music social networking site, might actually meet up at gigs creating something quite beautiful. Ahhhh.
