We started noWax on a whim back in 2003. It took off quite sharply and took us a little by surprise.

People all over the place started wanting to put on their own one, so we let them.

All the other hosts called it noWax and we put their nights on the one website and did mail-outs announcing the next parties.

We started writing about digital music in a weekly newsletter which got up to a subscription level of 2,500

This looks like it has come straight out of a Battlestar Galactica film from 1981, except of course it’s real and shortly in our shops. Well, it’s in shops in Japan, which means we might never see it in the UK. It can play MP4, MP3, WMA, AVI and MPEGs after converting them into NXV files. The 1Gb version is $125, which makes this really quite affordable. It takes a 2.5mm jack plug and you can get the data onto the watch via USB2. How convenient!
